John M. Herndon, US Army, SP4 Vietnam Veteran, he was also a police officer for the State of Illinois for over 30 years. He was a loving husband, father to 2 girls, grandfather to 2 boys and 1 girl. John suffered from COPD and Pulmonary Fibrosis and the last 10 years of his life he fought one of his biggest battles to stay alive and he did so the the courage and strength from his family and physicians. Words absolutely can not explain how proud we are of John and the battles he had to fight through not only in his military career, law enforcement career, and in his personal/family as well. Thank you Very Much for you dedicated to our country and law enforcement career and your family misses you very much.

If you need a little Sunshine you can borrow some of mine. Love you always.
