I am deeply honored to love this extraordinary man as I was privileged to call Dad. His journey was a testament to service, dedication, and love that touched the lives of countless individuals. Dad's life was defined by unwavering commitment — to God, family, country, and community. From the moment Dad answered the call to serve his nation by enlisting in the US Army in 1964, his dedication to service was evident. His military career spanned an impressive 39 years, including time in the Army Reserve and later the Air Force Reserve, where he retired as a Senior Master Sergeant in 2003. On April 11, 1968, Dad embarked on a journey of love and companionship as he married the love of his life, my mom. Together, they shared a bond of unwavering support that endured the tests of time for 56 years until his death. Even in retirement, Dad's dedication to service remained steadfast. He volunteered countless hours with the Rogers County Sheriff Department. He and his K9 therapy dog, Judy, offered compassion and support to veterans, nursing home residents, healthcare workers, children, and trauma survivors. His selflessness knew no bounds. Of his accomplishments, Dad’s greatest source of pride and joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father to my sister, my brother, and me. He was a doting Papa to 13 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Their love brought him immeasurable happiness and fulfillment throughout his life's journey. William Glenn McMinn served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He was honorably discharged on April 15, 1955. He served in Africa and various bases in the United States and was an aircraft propeller mechanic along with certification in fundamental aircraft and engine mechanics.
