AGSM is an organization of mothers who have lost a son or daughter while in the service of our country. A Veterans Service Organization, established in 1928 and chartered by the United States Congress in 1984, American Gold Star Mothers continue to honor our sons and daughters through service — service to veterans and patriotic events. As a Total Force partner and Auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, Civil Air Patrol is there to search for and find the lost, provide comfort in times of disaster and work to keep the homeland safe. Its 60,000 members selflessly devote their time, energy and expertise toward the well-being of their communities, while also promoting aviation and related fields through aerospace/STEM education and helping shape future leaders through CAP’s cadet program. Civil Air Patrol’s missions for America are many, and today’s adults and cadets perform their duties with the same vigilance as its founding members — preserving CAP’s 75-year legacy of service while maintaining its commitment to nearly 1,500 communities nationwide. The Young Marines is a youth education and service program for boys and girls, aged eight through high school graduation. The Young Marines promotes the mental, moral, and physical development of its members and focuses on teaching the values of leadership, teamwork, and self-discipline, so its members can live and promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. In May 2022, Wreaths Across America and Young Marines signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two organizations. The signing is to build a stronger awareness for each group’s common missions while supporting educational events throughout the nation. Young Marines has more than 238 units including thousands of youth members, most of whom have been placing veterans’ wreaths throughout the country for many years. The Military Women's Memorial mission is to honor and tell the stories of women, past and present, who serve our nation. It is the leading memorial and education center honoring women's contributions to the service of our nation. In 2021, Wreaths Across America celebrated a new grove dedicated to Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) on the tip lands in Maine as part of its Veterans Remembrance Tree Program. The balsam fir trees in this grove now hold replica dog tags of thousands of veterans, all Revolutionary War-era ancestors of DAR members nationwide. DAR is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America’s future through better education for children, and was founded in 1890. DAR members volunteer millions of service hours annually in their local communities including supporting active-duty military personnel and assisting veteran patients, awarding thousands of dollars in scholarships and financial aid each year to students, and supporting schools for underserved children. The DAR is currently Wreaths Across America’s largest sponsorship groups, with close to 1,000 chapters participating in communities across the country. National nonprofit Wreaths Across America (WAA) is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) in an effort to build a stronger awareness for each group’s common missions, while supporting events throughout the nation. Founded in 2007, and headquartered in Columbia Falls, Maine, WAA is best known for its annual wreath-laying ceremonies each December. The organization’s yearlong mission is to Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve, and Teach the next generation the value of freedom. Now in nearly 4,000 communities across the country, WAA volunteers are committed to sharing the mission through education and stories of service and success. Founded as a national nonprofit in 2005 to shield families of fallen heroes from those that would disrupt the services of their loved ones, the Patriot Guard Riders has grown to include thousands of members across all 50 states. As the organization’s membership has grown, so has the scope of its mission. PGR also honors first responders as well as military veterans. Additionally, the organization has an active Help on The Homefront (HOTH) program, which aids our veterans and their families. The signed MOU between the two groups focuses on engagement with PGR members and WAA volunteers to create opportunities for joint community service activities that bring awareness to both groups’ missions. PGR will expand its participation in the WAA Group Sponsorship Program – there are already more than 120 PGR groups participating nationwide – which raises awareness and sponsorships to place wreaths and support programming while offering PGR an option for fundraising for the important work they do in their communities year-round. “Since WAA was founded, Patriot Guard Riders have been involved in the mission and its members play an important part in ensuring respect for our veterans and their families,” said Karen Worcester, executive director of WAA. “Our combined efforts will no doubt help to shape and inform the next generation of patriots.” National President of PGR, Bob Dorey said, “Our membership is very supportive of the families of the fallen, as is Wreaths Across America! Wreaths Across America Recommits to the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration Wednesday, The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration flag was presented to the national nonprofit Wreaths Across America (WAA) in the Pentagon’s award-winning Vietnam War Exhibit, reaffirming WAA’s Commemorative Partnership. WAA was among the initial organizations to join the wide-ranging list of Commemorative Partners supporting the efforts of this congressionally chartered Commemoration, which was established under the Secretary of Defense. In 2024, Wreaths Across America proudly announced signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Military Order of the World Wars (MOWW), solidifying a partnership to bolster support for veterans and their families nationwide.

MOWW traces its roots back to 1918, when returning U.S. military officers sought to continue their service and camaraderie beyond the battlefield. Incorporated in 1919 as the American Officers of the Great War, the organization evolved into the MOWW, steadfastly upholding its commitment to patriotism, good citizenship, and national security. With a century-long legacy, MOWW remains dedicated to fostering responsible citizenship, youth leadership, and veteran support.

Reflecting on the collaboration, MOWW’s leadership emphasized the significance of joining forces to uphold shared values and advance common objectives. “Our alliance with Wreaths Across America represents a powerful union of purpose,” said BG Victor S. Perez, U.S. Army (ret), Commander-In-Chief, MOWW. “By honoring our veterans and promoting responsible citizenship, we strive to uphold the ideals that define our nation.”
