About Wreaths Across America

At Wreaths Across America, our mission extends beyond the national wreath-laying ceremonies in December. We offer year-round programs such as the Sponsorship Group Program, Mobile Education Exhibit, Remembrance Tree Tagging, TEACH Program, Wreaths Across America Radio, and Veteran Support Services. Additionally, we provide tours of our National Museum and the Gold Star Family History & Hospitality House in Maine. These initiatives ensure that our mission to REMEMBER, HONOR, and TEACH is upheld throughout the year, fostering lasting connections with veterans and communities nationwide.

How You Can Help

Take the lead in honoring local veterans by volunteering as a Location Coordinator. When you register a location for National Wreaths Across America Day each December, you commit to organizing and managing the wreath-laying ceremony at that site with the cemetery’s approval. This includes working with Sponsorship Groups and anyone interested in participating and ensuring the wreaths are cleaned up by the date specified by the cemetery. Your efforts ensure that veterans in your community are remembered and honored through our nationwide program

Locations host the wreath-laying ceremony, while Sponsorship Groups gather support through wreath sponsorships. If you want to lead a Sponsorship Group and receive group plan benefits, click here, as volunteer Location Coordinators are not automatically enrolled as Sponsorship Group Leaders.

Participating Locations

We welcome all locations where U.S. veterans are laid to rest, including family burial grounds, historic sites, military cemeteries, monuments and memorials, municipal and national cemeteries, as well as private, public, religious, state, and tribal burial grounds and gravesites. Your participation helps ensure that all veterans are honored and remembered.

How It Works

  1. Get Approval: Contact the cemetery/location to see if they are on board.
  2. Sign Up: Complete the Location Sign-Up Form. Processing takes 2-3 business days.
  3. Get Started: Receive a welcome email with your Location ID and all the info needed.
  4. Plan the Event: Network within your community (don’t worry, we’ll help you with this) to gather volunteers to help you plan the wreath-laying ceremony on National Wreaths Across America Day.
  5. Stay Informed: Receive regular updates and support from headquarters to help you coordinate your event. You will have a liaison team help you 1:1.
